We had been working with a local jeweler who wanted to charge us far more than I thought we should pay for the diamond for my engagement ring, so we did some research and went shopping for a stone to go into their setting. We ended up finding a ring we liked with the right stone at MDC. We were a little nervous about buying expensive jewelry on-line but we’ve been very happy with the way it turned out. MDC does a great job of communicating, which is very reassuring. They provided all of the documentation, the ring actually looks better than expected, and the sizing is perfect. The ring our local jeweler was making for us was more than twice as much for the same quality diamond, etc. I understand that brick and mortar stores have more overhead but I felt a little violated when I realized how much “overhead” they were planning to charge us for. We plan to buy our wedding rings at MDC too and we feel very comfortable recommending them to others. I love that my diamond is conflict-free and that it says so on the EGL certificate.
